Enrolment Update
Applications for 2026 Out-of-Zone enrolments are now closed. The ballot for 2026 Out-of-Zone will be held on 3 September.
We are still accepting:
- 2025 In-Zone applications
- 2026 In-Zone applications
Important Zoning Information
Westlake Boys High School adheres to the Ministry of Education’s guidelines regarding enrolments. Students of high school age who live within the school zone are entitled to attend, in accordance with our Enrolment Scheme.
Please refer to our zone map for detailed boundaries. You may also check residential addresses online for zone eligibility.
Applications for in-zone placements can only be accepted once the student is residing in the school zone with their parent(s) or legal guardian.
Please note the following:
- Residing in-zone means the student’s main place of residence is within the school zone.
- Tenancy agreements must be in the name of the parent(s) or legal guardian(s), and held with a property agent or property owner. Flat-sharing, boarding houses, and sub-letting arrangements do not meet the criteria.
- Temporary guardianship arrangements with someone residing in-zone will not be accepted as proof of in-zone residency.
- Submitting an application does not confirm enrolment. Enrolment is only confirmed once the student begins attending and is marked present on the school roll.
- The school may seek additional information or conduct investigations to verify the accuracy of any enrolment application.
School Donation
For 2026, the school donation remains the same as the current 2025 academic year: $675 for one student, and $900 for families with two or more students.
Supporting Documentation
Before submitting your online application, please ensure all required supporting documents are included. Incomplete applications will not be processed. This includes ensuring all form sections are fully completed and all documents — including the Statutory Declaration — are provided.
Note: Mobile phone photos are often too large to upload. You may need to use an online file compression tool to reduce the size of attachments.
If the documentation does not clearly establish in-zone residency, additional proof may be requested. This must be provided before the application can proceed.
You can view the full list of required documents here.
Moved In-Zone in the Past 12 Months?
If you have recently moved from an out-of-zone address to your current in-zone residence, you must provide:
- Written proof of what has happened to your previous residence (e.g. sale or rental agreement)
- A copy of the final electricity bill for that address
- A bond refund letter or email from Tenancy Services, if applicable
Changes to Residential Address After Enrolment
Only students who reside in-zone are eligible to enrol. The Board of Trustees reserves the legal right to annul enrolments in specific cases.
If there is any change to a student’s residential address while the school is open for instruction, this must be reported in writing immediately. If the student intends to remain enrolled after moving out of zone, a written request for permission must be submitted before the move occurs.
