Out of Zone Enrolments

Out of Zone Enrolments for 2025 open on Tuesday, 4th June 2024.

Out of zone places are available to students who live outside our school zone. Each year, the Board of Trustees decides how many out of zone students we can admit through a ballot after receiving in-zone applications. We also reserve spots for students who move into our school zone after the ballot and throughout the following academic year. Applicants are offered places based on their priority group and their numerical position on the enrolment list generated by the ballot.

Applicants not offered places are automatically placed on the waitlist in the order generated by the ballot. Priority groups are prescribed by legislation and set out in our Enrolment Scheme.

Out of Zone Enrolment - Years 10 to 13 (Ballot)

Closing date for Y10 - Y13 Enrolment Applications (for Ballot entry)

For out-of-zone students wishing to join our school in Years 10, 11, 12 or 13, we decide whether or not we will hold a ballot for entry every October. Our decision is based on what we know about the size of the year group in the coming year, the size of school, whether or not we have places available in NCEA streams, and the likely availability of spaces in specific courses.
